To change default text editor across the file types, try updating gnome-text-editor configuration. Sudo update-alternatives --config gnome-text-editor In some cases.
Select the text you want to change and type your new header or footer in its place. When you're done, on the Header & Footer tab, click Close Header and Footer. Or, double-click anywhere outside of the header or footer area to close the Header & Footer Tools. Use the same file name and add your initials, or other identifying element, to the end of the file name (but before the.doc extension: gone-with-the-wind-JN.doc ). Word also stores several additional advanced properties related to your documents. Some of these are displayed on the “Info” screen and you can change these properties. We recently showed you how to set the user information in Word.

Is there a way to make files opened for editing in the terminal open in Textedit instead?
For example, where a command might open a file for editing (like
git commit
), instead of opening that file in vim or emacs, it would open in Textedit (or perhaps another text editing application of your choosing, such as Coda or Sublime). And as a bonus question, is there any way to specifically configure git to automatically open the file created after running
Tshepanggit commit
in an editor from the applications directory?6,4641818 gold badges7474 silver badges115115 bronze badges

Filmora video editor for mac crack. Most programs will check the
$EDITOR
environment variable, so you can set that to the path of TextEdit in your bashrc. Git will use this as well. How to do this:
- Add the following to your
~/.bashrc
file:export EDITOR='/Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit'
- or just type the following command into your Terminal:
echo 'export EDITOR='/Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit' >> ~/.bashrc
If you are using zsh, use
lumio~/.zshrc
instead of ~/.bashrc

Use
git config --global core.editor mate -w
or git config --global core.editor open
as @dmckee suggests in the comments.Reference: http://git-scm.com/docs/git-config

Set your editor to point to this program:
With SVN, you should set
SVN_EDITOR
environment variable to:And then, when you try committing something, TextEdit will launch.

Is it possible to change or hide the name of the author of comments on a document? I have hundreds of documents where I have written dozens of comments, now my boss wants me to change the commenter name from me to him. Is this possible or do I have to copy paste all comments manually as him?

Since Word for Mac 2011 supports macros you should be able to automate this by placing all your documents in one folder and running the code below.
Change vDirectory to the path of the folder which contains the documents to modify. The sAuthorName variable should contain the replacment name. The required function GetFilesOnMacWithOrWithoutSubfolders can be found online here.
Disclamer: This macro has not been tested on a MAC
